PodcastHostLab respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we run a small content site, we do not sell your data, and we collect as little as we can.
Who we are. PodcastHostLab is a podcast-hosting review site operated by Drew Molitor. You can reach us any time at hello@podcasthostlab.com.
What we collect
- Things you send us. If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, and nothing else.
- Automatic, non-personal data. Like almost every website, our servers and tools log basic technical information when you visit: your browser and device type, a rough location (country or region), the pages you view, and how you arrived. We use it to understand which content is useful and to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are useful and roughly how much traffic we get. It is a privacy-first tool that measures visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. It does not track you across other websites, and it does not collect anything that identifies you personally. Our web host also keeps standard server logs (described above), which we review in aggregate to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies. Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Our partners and we use them for basic site function and for affiliate tracking. When you click an affiliate link and sign up with a host, a cookie tells that company we referred you so we get credit for the commission. It does not hand us your account details. Our analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, does not use cookies at all. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works, though some things may be less smooth.
Affiliate links. Many outbound links to podcast hosts and tools are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The tracking happens on the destination company’s side. Our Affiliate Disclosure page has the full story on how we make money.
Service providers we rely on. We use reputable third parties to run the site, including Hostinger (hosting), Cloudflare (domain name service and privacy-first analytics), and the affiliate networks noted above. Each has its own privacy practices.
What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers above, and only as far as they need it to do their job. We do not run invasive ad-retargeting.
Your choices and rights. Depending on where you live, for example under GDPR in the EU and UK or the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold, or to opt out of certain processing. Since we collect very little, this is usually quick. Email hello@podcasthostlab.com and we will take care of it.
Children. This site is meant for adults making software decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be obvious.
