Podcast Hosting Prices 2026: Every Plan, Tracked Monthly

No affiliate links on this page. Every price below was read off the host’s own pricing page on September 24, 2026, with the monthly and annual billing switch checked both ways. The page is re-checked on the first of every month, and every check is logged at the bottom.
The cheapest paid podcast hosting plan right now is Blubrry Standard 1.5 at $7 a month. On annual billing, Podbean Unlimited Audio works out to $12 a month. For a weekly one-hour show, RSS.com, Spreaker, and Spotify for Creators cost nothing, and the cheapest paid plan that fits is Simplecast at $15 a month billed monthly. The most recent price change we logged: RSS.com replaced its single paid plan with Plus, Pro and Max, and the entry price rose from $11.99 to $15 billed annually, first seen August 2026. Six of the 12 hosts we track changed a price or plan in the last 12 months.
Hosts change prices quietly. The old number keeps circulating in reviews and forum answers for a year or more, and the host’s own FAQ is sometimes the last page to catch up. This page keeps one dated record: what each host charges today, what it charged before, and when it changed.

Annual prices are the monthly equivalent of the yearly charge. Where the host bills a yearly total, like Transistor’s $190, we divide by 12 and round to the cent.
Watch the billing switch. Most of these pages open on annual pricing. The widest gap on an entry plan is Acast: $25 a month billed monthly against $14.99 a month billed annually, so the price you see first can be 40% below what a month-to-month customer pays.
What a weekly podcast actually pays
A price per month does not compare across hosts, because they cap different things. Some cap upload hours, some cap downloads, some cap nothing. So we priced the same show everywhere: one one-hour episode a week, about 4.3 hours of audio a month. Each cell is the cheapest plan on that host whose published limits fit the show: an hours cap at or above the show’s hours, or no cap on uploads or episodes at all.

Hosts that cap downloads rather than hours (Captivate, Transistor, Simplecast) fit either show on their entry plan until the show outgrows the download cap. Riverside prices by recording and download hours, not uploads, so it has no fair number here.

Want the numbers themselves? The current prices and every verified change are free to download as CSV files on our podcast hosting data page, free to reuse with credit.
- The first of every month, a script reads the pricing page of all 12 hosts and flags any page whose prices or plan wording changed since the month before.
- Every flagged change is then opened in a browser, with the monthly and annual switch checked both ways. The plan cards on the live page win. Hosts’ FAQs and help articles sometimes still show old prices, so we never take a price from them.
- History comes from the Internet Archive’s copies of each pricing page. A change counts only when the archived page shows it plainly, and each one is bracketed by the last copy with the old price and the first copy with the new one.
- Prices are in US dollars, before tax, without promo codes or first-month discounts.

FAQ
How much does podcast hosting cost per month? Paid plans start at $7 a month (Blubrry Standard 1.5). 7 of the 12 hosts with paid plans start between $17 and $20 billed monthly. Buzzsprout, RSS.com, Spreaker, Acast, and Spotify for Creators also have free plans, with limits.
Is annual billing worth it for podcast hosting? If you are sure you will publish for a year, usually yes. On the hosts that offer it, annual billing cuts the entry plan’s monthly equivalent by 10 to 40%. If you are testing whether podcasting sticks, pay monthly for the first few months.
Did my podcast host raise its prices? Check the change table above. It lists every price and plan change we found on the 12 hosts since January 2023. Several hosts keep existing customers on their old plan when prices change, so your bill may not match the price a new customer pays.
