Most podcast hosts don’t do promo codes, and the sites promising you one are mostly selling air. The real discounts are free trials, annual billing, a few nonprofit rates, and a handful of specific offers: a $20 Buzzsprout credit through a referral link, 25 percent off Captivate for students and nonprofits, and three free months when you move to RSS.com. I checked every offer below on the host’s own site in September 2026.
Key takeaways
- Libsyn has no promo code because every Libsyn plan already starts with a free first month, which its pricing page states outright.
- Buzzsprout sells no lifetime deal, and its only new-customer discount is a $20 account credit for signing up through a referral link.
- Captivate gives students, educational organizations, charities, and nonprofits 25 percent off every plan, applied by support after you sign up.
- RSS.com gives new customers switching from another host three months free and takes 25 percent off annual plans without a code.
- Paying yearly is the biggest discount most podcast hosts offer, worth two free months a year at Transistor and Castos.
Which podcast hosts actually have promo codes?
Almost none of them publish one. RSS.com is the exception: it runs codes on its own blog and has a code box at checkout. Captivate and Spreaker have a promo field at checkout too, but neither publishes a code to put in it. Everyone else discounts through trials, yearly billing, or a support ticket. Here is the whole field, alphabetical, with what you can actually get today.
| Host | Free plan or trial | Cheapest paid plan | Yearly billing | Code or discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Acast | Free Starter plan, 5 episodes | Essential, $25/mo | $14.99/mo | None posted |
| Buzzsprout | Free plan, 2 hrs/mo, episodes kept 90 days | Audio, $18/mo | $15/mo | $20 credit via a referral link |
| Captivate | 30-day free trial | Personal, $19/mo | $17/mo | 25% off for students, education, charities, nonprofits |
| Castos | 14-day free trial, no card | Essentials, $19/mo | $190/yr (2 months free) | Nonprofit and religious discount on request |
| Libsyn | 30-day free trial, card required | Basic, $12/mo ($8 bare-essentials tier exists) | Monthly only | “No promo code,” per Libsyn |
| Podbean | Free plan, 5 hrs total storage | Unlimited Audio, $17/mo | $12/mo (29% off) | None posted |
| RSS.com | Free plan (card on file to verify, never charged) | Plus, $19.99/mo | $15/mo (25% off, automatic) | 3 months free when switching hosts |
| Simplecast | 14-day free trial, no card | Basic, $15/mo | $13.50/mo | None posted |
| Spotify for Creators | Free, no paid tiers | None | None | Not needed |
| Spreaker | Free plan, one podcast, no card | Broadcaster, $20/mo | None listed | Promo field, no public code |
| Transistor | 14-day free trial | Starter, $19/mo | $190/yr (2 months free) | 15% off for nonprofits |
Prices are the monthly rate for each host’s entry plan, in US dollars. If you are still picking a host, how to choose a podcast host covers what matters beyond price, and cheapest podcast hosting ranks the budget options on what you get for the money.
Is there a Buzzsprout promo code or lifetime deal?
No promo code, and no lifetime deal. Buzzsprout’s pricing page doesn’t offer one, and nothing on Buzzsprout’s own site mentions a lifetime plan. If a site is selling a “Buzzsprout lifetime deal,” it isn’t Buzzsprout selling it.
What does exist is the referral credit. Per Buzzsprout’s help page, anyone who signs up through a referral link gets a $20 credit on their account. That covers a little more than one month of the $18 Audio plan. The other discount is yearly billing, which drops Audio to $15 a month. The free plan is a real test drive, but it deletes each episode after 90 days, so it’s not somewhere to leave a show. Our Buzzsprout review has the full breakdown and a referral link.
Is there a Libsyn promo code?
No, and Libsyn says so itself. Its plans and pricing page reads “Every plan. No promo code.” Your first 30 days are free on any plan, so a coupon site offering a Libsyn code is offering you the thing Libsyn hands everyone at signup.
Two catches. You need a credit card to start the trial, and Libsyn charges you when the 30 days end unless you cancel first. Libsyn also doesn’t offer yearly billing, so there’s no annual discount to chase either. Basic is $12 a month and Advanced is $25, which is the plan you’d need for Spotify video. Libsyn pricing walks through all nine plans. If the trial is all you’re after, start Libsyn’s free month here.

Does RSS.com have a promo code?
Yes. It’s the only host here that publishes its own codes. RSS.com’s own blog bills RSSFREEMONTH as a free month, but at checkout it takes a flat $19.99 off your first month on monthly billing. That covers a full month of Plus, which is $19.99 month to month. On Pro it cuts the first month from $34.99 to $15, and the full price returns after that. One catch: per RSS.com’s help center, the promo code box only appears on monthly billing, so you can’t stack a code with the yearly discount.
For most people the yearly rate beats the code anyway. Plus drops from $19.99 to $15 a month billed yearly, 25 percent off with no code. If you’re leaving another host, RSS.com also gives three months free to anyone who switches. That’s the best no-code offer on this list if you already have a back catalog. There’s a free plan too. RSS.com shows you its pricing page when you publish a second episode, but its help center says to pick Free there and keep going. See RSS.com’s plans.
Are there discounts on Captivate, Transistor, or Castos?
No public codes, but all three have a nonprofit route and a free trial long enough to move a show over and check it. None of them applies the discount at checkout. You sign up, then ask support.
- Captivate: a 30-day free trial, and 25 percent off every plan for students, educational organizations, registered charities, and nonprofits. Contact support once you’ve signed up. Personal is $19 a month, or $17 a month paid yearly. Start a Captivate trial.
- Transistor: a 14-day free trial, and 15 percent off for nonprofits if you ask support during the trial. Yearly billing gets you 12 months for the price of 10, so Starter is $190 a year instead of $228. Try Transistor free.
- Castos: a 14-day free trial with no card, and yearly billing also gives two months free ($190 a year for Essentials). Nonprofits and religious organizations get a discount, but Castos doesn’t publish the rate, so you’ll have to ask. See Castos.
If you run a church, charity, or school show, Captivate’s flat 25 percent is the best published rate of the three. Best podcast host for churches and nonprofits weighs it against the features you’d actually use.
Which podcast hosts are free, and what’s the catch?
Free beats any discount. Spotify for Creators is fully free, with no paid tier at all. Acast, Buzzsprout, Podbean, RSS.com, and Spreaker all have free plans, and every one of them is built to push you onto a paid plan.
The limits are where they differ. Acast’s Starter plan holds five episodes unless you open your show to its ad marketplace. Podbean’s free plan gives you five hours of storage in total, and that doesn’t reset each month. Buzzsprout’s gives two hours a month but deletes each episode after 90 days. For a show you plan to keep, that 90-day clock is the one that bites. Spotify for Creators vs Buzzsprout gets into what free hosting costs you later, mostly when you try to leave.
Is paying yearly the best podcast hosting deal?
For most hosts, yes. Yearly billing beats every public promo code except RSS.com’s switching offer. Podbean’s yearly price is 29 percent under monthly, Acast’s Essential drops from $25 to $14.99, and RSS.com takes 25 percent off without a code. Transistor and Castos both give two months free. Buzzsprout saves you $3 a month on Audio.
The downside is paying a year up front for a host you may outgrow. Use the free trial to move your whole feed across first, then switch to yearly once the show has settled. Libsyn is the one host here that only bills monthly, so its free month is its whole deal.
Are there deals on podcast tools?
A few, and one of them is ours. The rest are public offers anyone can get.
quso.ai, the clip tool that used to be Vidyo.ai: our link takes 40 percent off an annual plan at checkout, with no code to type. Monthly plans get no discount. We may earn a commission when you use it. We checked it at checkout on the Growth annual plan on October 9, 2026. Get quso.ai. Best tool to turn your podcast into clips compares it with Opus Clip and Podsqueeze.

- ElevenLabs: the Creator plan’s first month is 50 percent off, $11 instead of $22, straight from its pricing page. See ElevenLabs.
- Murf: students, educators, and nonprofits get 20 percent off any plan. You start a free trial, then email Murf from an official address with proof, and it sends a coupon. See Murf.
- Descript: students, educators, and nonprofits can apply for a discount through a form linked in its pricing FAQ. Descript doesn’t publish the rate.
- Riverside: no code, but yearly billing takes up to 20 percent off. Riverside pricing has the plan-by-plan math.
If you’re weighing an AI voice tool, best AI voice generator for podcasters covers where Murf and ElevenLabs each make sense.
Can you trust podcast coupon sites?
Mostly no. Search any host plus “promo code” and you’ll land on pages with a “reveal code” button. For Libsyn and Buzzsprout there’s nothing to reveal, because neither host issues public codes. At best, those pages hand you a referral link and call it a coupon.
A code goes on this page only after we’ve tested it at a real checkout, with its exact terms and end date. A code never changes which host we recommend. When there’s no code, we say so, because “you don’t need one” saves you more time than a fake one.
FAQ
Is there a Libsyn coupon code?
No. Libsyn’s pricing page says “No promo code” and gives every plan a free first 30 days instead. A card is required to start.
Is there a Buzzsprout coupon?
Not a code. Signing up through a Buzzsprout referral link gets you a $20 account credit, and yearly billing takes the Audio plan from $18 to $15 a month.
Can I use a promo code with yearly billing?
Not at RSS.com, where the code box only shows on monthly plans. At quso.ai, our link takes 40 percent off yearly plans with no code to type. Most hosts have no code at all, so yearly billing is the discount.
Which podcast host has the longest free trial?
Captivate and Libsyn, at 30 days each. Castos, Simplecast, and Transistor give 14 days. Buzzsprout, Podbean, RSS.com, and Spreaker skip the trial and give you a limited free plan instead.
